Church will be closed for the next 30 days!
The attached letter is from Bishop Lewis announcing the closure of churches in our district for the next 30 days! This will take us through the month of April. The Bishop’s office will revisit the closure policy on or about April 23rd to let us know what will happen then. Barry asked me to remind everyone to get in touch with him if you need him for anything. Please practice your social distancing (6 feet apart) and stay safe. We are in this together and together with God’s help we will get through it.

Update on Church Closing!
We have received word from the Bishop that we are to continue the closing of services (i.e. Worship and Sunday School) through March 29th! Nor are we supposed to have any meetings of more than 10 people so our meetings will continue to be cancelled as well. Pastor Barry would like to reiterate: if he can do anything for anybody, please call him at the parsonage – (540) 625-2539.
FOR THOSE WITH BABIES:
While I haven’t been able to confirm this online anywhere, I have been asked to share this with you. For parents who can’t find formula in stores. Word has it that you can call the number on the back of a formula can and they will send you a case of formula during this pandemic time.
A NOTE FROM YOUR PASTOR:
I miss you already. It can be a very frustrating time when we can’t have church. As you probably know our bishop, cooperating with our governor, has canceled worship services and other activities in all United Methodist Churches until at least the 22nd of March.
However, I want you to know that if you need anything—from spiritual support to the running of an errand—please call me. As long as I don’t have any symptoms (and I surely hope I won’t have) I’ll be glad to help in any way I can. Please call me at the parsonage (540) 625-2539.
Let’s all be in prayer for our people and for our nation in this very difficult time.
In his love,
Barry
