Don’t forget next Sunday, March 14th, is the day for our monthly Food Drive and Loose Change Collection to be held.

This month is another opportunity for us to safely get involved in a Food Drive and at this time we will also collect for our Loose Change Offering for the Heifer Project (paper money is accepted as well). Next Sunday, Feb 14th, we will be collecting the food and loose change in the church parking lot.

You can drive by any time between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and drop off non-perishable food items as well as any loose change/money you want to contribute.

If you would like to contribute, but that time isn’t convenient, please contact Pastor Barry at (540) 625-2539. I’ll arrange to pick up the food at your convenience.

Canned Food Offering: This food will be sent to the King George Social Services Food Bank.  King George County residents who need assistance may receive a two- or three-day emergency supply of food once a month with proof of residency.

The Loose Change Offering: These gifts will go to Heifer International whose mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth.  By giving families a hand-up, not just a hand-out, the Heifer Project empowers them to turn lives of hunger and poverty into self-reliance and hope. With gifts of livestock and training, Heifer Projects help families improve their nutrition and generate income in sustainable ways.

Please prayerfully consider what you can do; the need is great, and the resources are not. Be blessed.
